    New Jersey?

Anyone here from New Jersey or the northeast? My doctor has a support group, but the times aren't always easy for me to get to. I'm happy I found this forum. I'm looking to connect to people going through the same things that I am. I am 7 months post-op. I'm down 44 pounds.

It's good that you do have information on support groups in your area. Aside from doctors, where else do you get information?

I am from Upstate New York but I haven't had my surgery yet. Do you have any leads on groups in NY that I could join? I don't have my first appointment with my surgeon until after the first of the year so I can't get anything from him until then.

    Re: New Jersey?

I recommend to have the procedure done in Mexico. Not very far, but cheap and high quality..what I mean is I'm from LA and through medical tourism, I could opt for many treatments abroad. So I had my surgery in Mexicali, the surgeon is really kind and has a lot patience to explain, discuss, laugh. I'm 3 weeks post-op and we kindly talk almost every day about the progress and my general condition. If you are interested, pm me to give u more details. Huggggs, John
